Because of its small size, the Chihuahua is a marvelous pet for the apartment dweller and the elderly. It can be left inside and can easily be trained to paper, so it does not have to be taken for walks in wet weather. It loves those that it knows, and can be a sharp and noisy watchdog, not realizing that its size cannot back up its threats. Because of its size, this is not a dog for young or boisterous children.
